Charity Application

This is a formal application, that will be used in conjunction with a phone interview, to select the 2019 Digital for Good Tech Jam charity participants.

For the past three years, hundreds of developers, designers and UI/UX artists have come together at the Gift the Code™ hackathon. Each year, teams had 40 hours to develop open-source solutions that addressed the challenges of six deserving charities.

The incredible success of the Gift the Code events created a movement within Capital One® to use Digital for Good. To build on this movement and further grow the impact of Gift the Code, the event will be integrated into Capital One’s larger Digital for Good program as its flagship event.

Fifteen charities will be selected and paired with technology teams. Each team will build digital solutions that their charity has identified as amplifiers to their impact.

We're looking for charities that have a technology project that they currently don’t have the capabilities to complete. There is no cost to participate for charities; however, they will need to be able to commit a certain amount of time, staffing and resources in order to participate. Capital One will generously cover the expenses of this event.

We’re looking for charities that:
